Georgia woman touched by God dedicates her life to feed the homeless

You may walk or drive by Tift Park every afternoon and have no idea whats happening inside.

“We do anything from baked chicken to barbecue chicken to tenderloins, hamburgers,”says Amanda Griffin, the founder of Love and Loaves, Proverbs 31:20 ministry serves meals every day to people in need at the park.

“I walked out of that church God placed it on my heart this is what I had to do. So I began going out sitting under bridges with homeless people feeding them letting them know they’re loved and they’re not forgotten and that Jesus loves them.”

Griffin’s journey to Tift Park started two years ago when she was saved.

She says, “I walked out of that church God placed it on my heart this is what I had to do. So I began going out sitting under bridges with homeless people feeding them letting them know they’re loved and they’re not forgotten and that Jesus loves them.”

Then she says she was led to help in a different way, “In January of this year, god brought me to Tift Park and there was such a need here there were so many people that were lost hurt broken afraid needing someone to love them.”

At first Griffin and others with her ministry served meals at the park once a week until it grew and grew. Now they serve meals five days a week.

Since January, griffin has seen people’s lives changed. She says, “A lot people came out of the shelter or from sleeping on these benches to getting jobs to getting homes.”

Griffin says she doesn’t do it for the praise and the glory but to bring those things to God.

“What we’re doing out here it isn’t just about the food it’s about the love it’s about sharing god’s love with these people.”
