Central Florida based attorney Mark NeJame of NeJame Law is partnering with Desmond Mead to provide 1 million masks for polling locations throughout Florida.
Meade, a formerly incarcerated person who has had to overcome homelessness and mental health challenges now leads the Florida Restoration of Rights Coalition that he founded after completing law school at Florida International University. Additionally, he serves as chair of the Floridians for a Fair Democracy.
In these capacities, Meade works with partners to help restore voting rights and other civil rights to formerly incarcerated persons. In 2019, Mead was recognized as one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World, 2019 Central Floridian of the Year.
The Florida Restoration of Rights Coalition (FRRC) has acquired 500,00 masks, and Mark NeJame and NeJame Law are matching this by donating an additional 500,000.
